Hi, i have a Zippo Lighter that's about 13 years old, A letter. (collection lighter)

I have changed the Wick and the Flint, recharged like 4-5 days ago, was burning awesome till today when the fire started "blinking"...

Anyone knows the cause? Do i have to recharge it?

Also the Wick started to burn literally, like after i close the top, the fire extinguish, if i reopen it smoke starts to come out from the wick.

Why's this?

// Also the fire isnt equal, like in the flint side there's no fire.

Its low on Fluid

Pull it out of the sleeve & put fluid into the cotton/sponge on the bottom

How long is the Wick (from the base were it comes out of the little hole)

It should be about 3/8's of an inch

If its longer trim it down slightly

Also it needs to sak up the fluid u just added... So give it a little time aswell

The wick is as long/tall as the "wick walls" are.

They are at the same level.

Seems like, after saking some fluid lights normally.

Could you tell me, how often should i charge it, if i smoke ~ 10 cigs/day (so that would be 10 lights/day).

There's not really a set time frame

U will start to notice the flame getting smaller & it getting harder to light - usually indicates fuel is low

Also avoid leaving it in direct sunlight - it will evaporate the fuel & cause it to run out faster
