its been a while since i play and i wanted to start back!!! i dont wanna use full screen mode, i thinks u have to do like w something can somebody help me out plz

Right-click on your desktop shortcut and then select Properties.
Then on the first line (I think it is Target) go to the end of the text, put a space then -w. Press OK.
Now whenever you choose that shortcut it will open Diablo II in window mode.

Right-click the D2 shortcut and write "-w" at the end of the Target line
Be sure to leave a space before it
