okay i got an hp like two weeks ago But i found the exact same one with 2 more gigs ram and 140 gigs more in the hd

i have spent the last week putting all my files and programs onto this computer but im going to pay the extra 30 bucks and just swap out this comp for the more gigs and ram

now to my question

can i some how get it so i can just copy everything on like maybe a backup disc or something and just pop that in the new laptop so i dont have to reinstall every single program ?

Yes you could back them up to cd but they wont be installed properly when you put them back on you pc. Its better to spend the time installing them again to negate any problems latter on.

I do belive their is a program that will fix them not being installed properly but haven't looked into it it would just be a registry fix most likely
