.gif images do not play for me at all, anybody else experiencing this problem and have a solution?

Does this problem only persist in Firefox?

Happens on IE too.

When you say they don't play.. do they not show up, or are they frozen on a single frame?

Internet Explorer 7 doesn't have them enabled by default sometimes, your version of Firefox might have imported preferences from IE.

I'd just check the browser options to see if animation in .gif files is supported.

It's just frozen on the first frame.

I'll try it and report back.

Reinstalled Firefox 6.0, doesn't work.
Installed Firefox 5.0, doesn't work.

/e: Seems I cannot save .gif images and re-upload them. .gifs in the Photo Gallery are working fine.

I forget where but I think there is an option to play .gifs automatically or not

you may have your prefferences set to not play the .gifs
