i have a 2007 ford escape and have 1k plus mileage in it...
the engine needs 5w-20 oil.
what's the best oil for my engine at that mileage?
someone told me a semi syntetic oil would be a good oil
and others told me it doesn't matter.....

Honestly most automobile manufacturers put standard oil in there engines

Synthetic is god bc it doesn't break down viscosity wise like standard oil does

But unless ur spending a lot of time in higher RPM ranges (like @ a track) u don't really have to worry about oil breakdown

As long as u use the proprer/manufacturer suggested oil weight & change ur oil on a regular bases u shouldn't have a problem with whatever u choose... Its more of a personal choice
