Happens in D2 and Wow. Both played on lowest vodep setting possible.

i have a 2.20 Duo dell, Which i think it should be able to handle these.

it freezes and goes to a blue screen saying my computer has been shut off to protect it. Forgot w/e else it said.

^^^will sometimes do that when the comp sits idle with no programs open.

I do have A anti-v and no i dont think the comp is getting hot.

Take it apart and clean it... maybe one of your fans isnt working, that happened to me the other day.
You might have to start one of the fans with your finger to get it spinning again.

What BSOD error is it giving you? Probably a driver issue.

Anti virus software can be and usually is a resource hog.

Cleaning all the dust out of the inside of your machine is a good idea as stated by newporg.

I would recommend an air blower of some sort.

Be careful of static.

If you are talking about the "blue screen of death" that can be for a variety of reasons.

In older machines wrong or corrupted drivers can cause this.

It may have nothing to do with the games at all and may be related to some sort of other software or hardware you are running.

Try closing all non essential programs and playing the game.
