So my laptop is sort of screwed up, Like... The battery thing at the bottom usually lights up green and thats it. Lately it's been flashing orange four times then going back to green. I thought it was my laptop cord because it had a short in the wire and i'd have to twist it a certain way for it to work. I have to keep it plugged in at all times or else it will die instantly. I know the answer is probably that I need a new battery, but i'm just looking to see what anyone else has to say about it?

You either need a battery or the charger port is bad, meaning it's not getting the charge to the battery, but it's able to power the laptop.

Well, I just bought a completely new one today, brand new.. and it's still doing the same thing so it's probably the battery then, isn't it?

How old is the laptop? Make?

If it dies as soon as u unplug it, the batteries not olding its charge

The problem with the cord may have effected the charge going into it & messed up one of the cells

Well, okay heres one more thing.. I JUST plugged the new charger i bought in so I was thinking maybe if I let it charge, since it obviously hasnt been, maybe it just needs to be charged a bit? I mean that's like a slim-to-none chance, but that could be a possibility? I know it's probably not, knowing MY luck.. but oh well. Thank you everyone.

Bad battery

Its most likely the battery, I recommend buying one online they are extremely cheap if you know where to look.
