so, I know you're all going to post the two guides that are up for releasing your ip, changing mac address, and then renewing the ip, but they won't help.

I do this whenever I get a realm down and it never helps because Verizon Fios decides to give me back the exact same ip address every time.
And yes, I do change my mac address after I release the ip. No, we do not have a static ip

would it help to wait, say, 15 minutes before renewing my DHCP lease?

If the guides don't work for u, try waiting it out for a little & try logging in again

They can last 15mins - 72hrs

Failed log in attemps will not increse the wait time

Mine have lasted 12 hours without fail since I restarted d2. Never any shorter, never any longer. Just annoying T.T

Not sure if it will work, but if u unplug ur router for 15-30mins & plug it back in... Do u still get te same IP?
