In your last line you are insulting him quite a bit, it doesn't have to be at a jsp user it can be general

It wasnt insulting to him... it was about a comic book character

Were you warned for it? If not I'd just let it go, maybe pm a mod informing them someone misunderstood or for clarification.

Its not the offense to the Character probably its the general use of a derogatory word that some may find offensive

Any comments in a hateful or degrading context regardless of the "target" is a flame. In the future it's best to avoid any hateful or degrading comments regardless of whom it is directed it.
