It dropped by accident and now when I try to plug it in a computer it says that the device cannot be installed and then it starts doing this weird computer noise.
Any ideas? Even though tbh it's pretty much dead.

Unfortunitly I don't think it's fixable

Drop damage usually results in the device needing to be replaced :(

Had the same problem with my old external. It most likely had a head crash.

/e these are virtually unfixable and would cost alot of money to get whatever data that managed to survive.
