I recently moved to a new house about 3 months ago, and added the address to my paypal account
just last week i bought an item from a website, and paypal for whatever reason gave them my old address to ship the item to
i checked my old house and it's abandoned, and there is no box on the front door step (meaning a current owner could not have accepted it)

the item was shipped through USPS and says the item was delivered, and i can't even get a representative to talk to about this

idk what to do... report item as never received? or just ask for another one from the company?
i already contacted the seller and they replied "we shipped to the address paypal gave us (linked it)"

plz help :(

Are you sure there is no owner to your old house that could have taken it or so?

What you could do is explain them your situation and tell them that you moved somewhere else and that you didn't receive the package, the only thing you can do with this is to resolve it with the guys you ordered from

In my point of view, when something is delivered to a place that ''You'' put and you have payed for it, I don't think you can get another one for free or get it back if you can't find it.

well the old house is abandoned and locked down, wood on the windows, nobody mowed the grass since we moved, etc etc.
and we have all our mail forwarded to this new house
i explained the situation to the seller and i got :

the post office would hold onto a package instead of shipping it to a forwarded address? doesn't make any sense to me..

Then did you forward your new address to them also before receiving the package? Because if you didn't then I think you can't really do anything to get your package back :(

I am trying to help, that is why I told you to contact them, but since you did and you didn't clarify it from your first post I can't do anything.

Though you might check the office in which it has been delivered because I am sure they won't leave a package infront of a house in which no one lives in, go to your local post office and see if they have your old address and might have it stored there

Get a hold of the company and just be honest.

Lay out your situation as you have here and if it is a reputable company they will probably send you a new item (or work something out with you)

Most companies find it more for economical to please the customer (even though in this case it wasn't their fault) than deal with possible repercussions.

You don't have anything to lose by attempting to work something out with the seller.

Just remember this wasn't the sellers fault nor was it the post office so they no longer have an obligation to that specific order.
