Since it is a heavy armor it will reduce your FRW %.

So a lvl 49 plague amazon or shaper would need a dusk shroud with life since that is a light armor. (since FRW % is important here)

Ancient armor is a medium weight. But still, yes it will decrease FRW, but not in the same degree as heavy.
