everytime i try to download a game, my virus scanner thinks its a trojan and wont download it. i tried to download d2 off blizzard site and it keeps saying that mcafee got rid of a trojan when i try to download it. is there any way i can turn off mcafee so i can download the game and then turn mcafee back on? It also does this when i want to download league of legends.

either you already have a virus on your computer which is downloading malware when you download legitimate programs
if so, what does mcafee detect the trojan as? there should be a name or file/website (don't post the website)

or mcafee is detecting false positive
i think you can rightclick on the icon on the bottom to disable it

or something went wrong in an update and it detects every download as a virus
try reupdating your anti-virus. This happened to avast a few months ago, it made a lot of people freak out :/

if you still have this problem, i recommend switching anti-viruses
avast/avg/microsoft security essentials are good

I had the same problem .. You need to remove mcafee and install Avg free edition.
And now i can download all games.

I recommend re installing your whole machine to get rid of any corrupted files and to re install them on your machine.

the thing is, its a new laptop, i just bought it on sunday and mcafee came with the laptop. mcafee is already updated. i might just switch to another anti virus. is there any good anti virus programs out there i can download? im not sure if i want to download avg

Imo Mcafee is between the worst antivirus now @net. I would try to install avira or/and nod32
