a brief history about my dell laptop

it is a little over a year old and i baby it, only damage i has ever taken was it was in a backpack and when my friend opened the trunk of our suv at a gas station the backpack with the laptop fell out and hit the ground. only noticable damage was with the sound which is a little fucked up now. this happened over xmas so im not sure if these problems are even retaled

the problem
i have no computer knowledge whatsoever so that is why im looking for help/advice from anywhere/anyone. so a few nights ago while just trollin jsp they screen started to fade like the picture shows, it starts slowely and then begins to take over the screen more and more, while this is happening the screen dosnt move (cursor dosnt move/work, video pauses etc). the problem would fix itself if you just moved the screen a little it would go back to normal and functional. this has been happening for the past couple days when tonight it happened when i was outside of the room so i was unable to move the screen and save it. when i got back no matter how i moved the screen it would not return to normal. i held the power button to turn the pc off and upon powering it back on it started as a black screen and started turning grey with the lines becoming noticable, all while the pc was not able to go to the login screen. after letting it sit like that it brought me to the second image bellow's screen in which it tried to repair some errors but was unable to find/correct any. i then hit the finish button which restarted my pc up just fine and then immediatly went to jsp in hope to save/get info on my pc. also as time goes on the quick fix of just tilting the screen a bit is working less and less often and sometimes not at all.

the solution
im just looking for any info into the problem, im assuming its a problem with the screen and not the actual computer because everything else is running normally. im just cruious if this is something i can fix myself or if im going to need to bring it to a repair shop or even if my pc is fucked all together and cant be saved.

I KNOW THIS WAS LONG BUT THANKS FOR READING AND ANY AND ALL HELP/SUGGESTIONS

It appears there is an issue with your install of windows
i suggest re installing first thing

this will isolate a hardware issue with the disk if one exists

then we can see about the screen issues

Your machine's screen is damaged I am afraid and it will be very difficult to repair it unless you send it directly to the manufacturer. This usually happens when a laptop has suffered damage such as falling, having something fall on it, etc. The colour of your machine's screen can turn blue and interrupt your image on screen. This, however does not damage your machine's performance; It only interrupts the image being shown; However, if while your laptop fell your hard drive suffered some damage, then your system's performance might be damaged. GL and do not try to fix it on your own!
