i just downloaded gimp and i am wondering how do u download picture in gimp?

Not sure if I fully understand your question. If this doesn't answer it, please let me know.

Copy a picture that you want, open gimp, go to Edit (or right click), and select paste. The picture will now appear in your canvas and you'll be able to edit / enhance it however you want.

OPTION 1 would be open gimp and select file>>open SELECT PHOTO AND CLICK OK

OPTION 2 this is to make it so every time you open this file type it will open gimp ready for editing

BE SURE TO CLICK THE LITTLE BOX
"Always use the selected rogeam to open this kind of file"

choose GIMP from list or
Browse

find where you installed it and

actually program file should be in the bin folder

select gimp-#.# >>>>>> #.# is version mine is 2.6 your may be different

and click ok
