Yes man, re installing your machine either using your system restore CD or by restarting your machine and waiting to be prompted at the start up of your system to initiate a system restore using the your function keys{"F"} keys. Doing so can re install your corrupted or erased data files that are important for your machine to run smoothly without errors.
