Hi. I wanted to upgrade my gaming experience so yesterday I picked up a Ati HD 6770 graphics card. My pc is a gaming pc. An old Dell XPS to be exact. And I was scared that maybe my power supply wouldn't be good enough. Should I even worry about that ?

I'm away from home and I never really checked. It looks like a normal power supply cable that goes from wall to computer.

Open your computer case and take a look on your PSU. You need to check how much Watt your PSU supports.

If you have never changed or upgraded your power supply, then you need to upgrade it to at least an 800 Watt power supply, because your GPU most likely needs it. You can check the specifications on your GPU and it should state what the minimum requirement for your power supply should be. Okay, your new GPU requires at least a 400 Watt power supply, but I recommend purchasing a 600 to 800 Watt power supply so your chances of having your machine explode{shut off} on you decrease:

Clicking on the link that I have provided tells you the system specifications for the GPU that you purchased.

450W to 500W is absolutely enough for the HD 6770 graphic card.

This

But I would be more concerned about it being the right type of GPU.. how old is your old Dell? Does it even have a PCI-E 16x/2.0/2.1 slot?
