Ok so I use Fraps for fps games etc and then loading it from vlc, but it won't show any of the screen it only plays the sound, lmk thanks.

Try using a different .AVI file editor such as "VirtualDub" to be able to edit and compress the file. Also, download the "DivX" codec package and player to be able to see the image:
