what discs do i need to play??

and any other info u can give me about starting wow

Don't need any discs, in fact i would advise against using any of the game discs to install the game due to how they changed it around.
You still need to buy the game though, either as a digital purchase through battle.net or the physical copy from a store like best buy.

First game you need is the core world of warcraft. That brings your level to 60.
Then you need to buy burning crusades to bring your level cap up to 70.
Wrath of the lich king for 80 and cataclysm for 85.

Create an account, then can create a 10 day trial with world of warcraft. Which let's you level a character to 20.

Once you buy the game, you add the cd keys to your battle.net account. Then you can download the game client and install it.

will the discs work tho? and what is the difference in each one of those games?

Discs will work but honestly download the game its better. Also the difference is expansions

WoW + bc which you get now in a package is the original 2 islands + the outer world (burning crusade) then after that you'll need Wraith of the lich king which is Northrend then after that you'll need Cata which is the middle + some random islands.

i dont see where you can buy lich king on the site?
