no sry, it's not possible to get it back, even if you get that name back, the char is expired himself
happened to me also on my blizz sorc lvl 99 expired^^

You can try find that name in d2, just type *whois that charname and if you find the user you can ask if he can give it back?

if you have a name that no one else has then you can get it back, but once character expires the name becomes available and if taken then you lose.

The gear on that character is gone forever.

As for the name, if it is a good name most likely someone on JSP now has it and you can attempt to buy it back.

Or you can type it in once or twice a day and hope that the new owner eventually allows it to expire also.

From now on make your names random and the chances of it ever getting taken when allowed to expire are slim.
