Early Bump:

    * Posting 2 back-to-back posts in one thread before 4 hours.
    * Creating several threads to bypass the early bump rule.

however it doesn't clarify that I can not answer a question on my thread before the four hour mark...

example:

http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=56919857&f=52

guy asks for stats on my ebotd

so I post on the thread and I get:

Quote

Early Bump: Violation of the 4 hour bump rule. Please review the rules here: Trade Rules

I need to know so I don't get my post closed again, was I supposed to pm the possible buyer and not post the answer in my thread?

because If I was to pm I would be violating

Quote

No trades via PM. (It's harder to prove a scam via PM than from a trade thread, so always negotiate and deal through a trade thread, not PM).

I have no problem waiting the hour cool down if I'm in the wrong, but, I thought it fell into the "negotiate and deal" of a trade.

You may want to repost in General Help for quick answers and not the Site Suggestions section :)

And as far as pming him the stats, I wouldn't see any problem in that since you're answering a simple question. Now if you wanted to avoid that - posting the stats in the first post would solve that problem.

I posted the relevant information based on http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=54576542&f=52 and so I posted all item information after the question was asked

I would really like this clarified before I re-post.

thank you,

Sometimes people early BUMP your topics so if that happens, report the early BUMP and don't BUMP your topic until another four hours has passed. If people are replying to your topic ISO information regarding what you are selling, then try to simply PM them the information, but it is not illegal to reply to them via your topic, or wait for the four hour BUMP rule and then reply to your own topic to avoid others spamming your topic, but make sure to clarify that you are trading with somebody in your topic before you move into trading via PM like everybody is telling you to, to avoid any issues in the future. Also, when you are updating your topic you have to wait the four hours before doing so, otherwise, like in your post 14, which is an early BUMP, your topic will get closed. Good luck man and hopefully you don't run into this issue again.

This is correct, you must wait until the next 4 hour bump period to update your FT list.

As for replying to someone that posted in your trade thread that is ON TOPIC and about the trade discussion, it is completely fine to respond to them within the 4 hours.

If the the information from the pm results in making a deal and location in game to make the trade and it goes badly, would this be still violating the trade safty of both buyer and seller?

lastly I have to wait four hours to respond to any question in a thread, unless I pm to answer faster?

If people ask you questions about your items in the thread, responding to them via your thread is perfectly fine.

/e as long as they bin the item in your thread, you can then move to pm's regarding the trade.
