Okay so today I so 2 cards of 256mb ram each, I installed them both and my pc starts acting real funny. I got the message the memory got changed and all okay, but around a few minutes after the pc booted I get fuzzy colors and a bluescreen right after, or it freezes. Now the cards are both from a different brand. One's a Infineon just like the other 2 I already had, and one of the new ones is a Samsung. So I tried booting without the samsung which worked okay. So what could cause this? Sorry for my broken english by the way. Thanks in advance!

Make sure that the RAM cards are placed in their slot securely. Once you do that let me know if the problem continues. Try visiting the links that I have provided for you, because it might give you a few more pointers:

The last link revolves around troubleshooting RAM issues. PM me if after reading all of this information you are still having issues, because it might not be your RAM at all if you're experiencing graphics issues. I hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks for your reply. I've made sure they're placed correctly several times, tried other positions too but that seems not the problem.

Are all cards same DDR?

If the Samsung is i.e DDR3 while the rest is DDR2 then ur motherboard supports DDR2 and the DDR3 card wont work properly.

Thanks for replying, I can't really see where it says it's DDR2 or 3, the Samsung says DD266, is that DDR2? I'm like a digibete so I don't know really, the other ones are Infineon DDR 400 cl3, that's what it says.

Both are just DDR.
Samsung got 266MHz, the Infineons got 400MHz.
Gotta change it to 266MHz max in BIOS, the Samsung can't take any higher than that, might be the problem.

e: I'd just get rid of the Samsung, it'll be a bottleneck.
Try to keep it to one brand at the same clockspeed.

In my opinion i think you should just buy a new computer. That hardware is like 15 years old. computers these days should be running a recommended minimum of 4GBs of RAM.

I agree with Paintball91, but I would customize a PC, because it can be very beneficial for you to have a PC suited to your needs exact. If you have the proper funds, visit the kind people at "Puget Systems":

Tons of better places to go. And I bet 99/100 are less expensive, they're overpricing a lot of items, and not just a little.
