How many ~700 mb movies can fit into a normal DVD? It is telling me that I can only fit 150 minutes, but that seems kind of odd considering each file is 700 mb, and the disc is ~4.7gb. Is this normal, or am I using the wrong software?

Before someone jumps on the whole piracy issue, these are all legit backups. I simply want to combine several of my DVD's into one.

I'd imagine that's the software you're using, maybe it's a trial version and it only allows you to burn so much?

Otherwise I don't see a reason for it happening and I've never had such problems.

You can compress your films so that they will be smaller in size, but at the cost of the viewing quality man. I got this information from the link that I have posted:

Hmm.. what software should I use? I'm trying out the one included with Windows 7, and a random one I got off download.com. Both are giving me a weird time constraint:

Why is it giving me a time length? Shouldn't it be giving me how many megabytes are free?

Thanks for the help guys

I just downloaded Nero and am using the Nero Vision to burn the .avi files. It says it can't do more than two, and when I have two movies in there, it says it can do it, but the quality is set to low. When I burn one movie, it says it is using all 4.37 gigs, and the quality is very good.

I am confuse. Is this just how DVD burning works? I realize it's not the same as a data disc, but still...

Just got it. Could you explain what this does? Does it combine everything into a single file for DVD burning?
