I have Windows 7 64-bit. Have downloaded both version 10 (latest) and version 9, obviously both 64 bit version. Have removed all components before install. Version 10 fails on install then won't run, version 9 installs then won't run.

Anyone encountered this problem, and/or knows a solution?

Are there firewalls maybe stopping iTunes from finishing download?

Try to install a different version?

Make sure you run as admin?

iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.

Error 7 (Windows error 998)

This is the message. Have tried compatibility, admin etc. Nothing.

Edit:

After too much time with this got it working. It seems as though my PC had a 32-bit version of Quick Time on it which I failed to uninstall. Removed EVERY Apple program/component, reinstalled. Works.
