Is there any way you some how locked your desktop ? if so try restarting your computer .
If restarting doesnt help replay here again , mean while I will google this.
Try pressing the Window's Key + L to unlock it/.

Open up Task Manager, find the process called
explorer.exe
and end that process. Now switch to the
Applications
tab
New Task
Type in
explorer.exe
and click "ok" to reload the desktop.
