Well i installed d2, and i launched it. wanted to go on battle.net, then it says it needs to update (this is normal, cause i didnt play for like 2 months).

then the blizzard updater shows up. and i get this message:



can someone tell me how to fix this?

Run it as an administrator.

Try running the game exe directly from your d2 folder (not from a shortcut). I'm not sure what else can be done regarding this issue besides reinstalling the game.

Rightclick on the .exe/shortcut Run as an administrator
