Do they do anything other then suspend you from the forums? I mean like do they build up and stay on a record for you?
Is it worth disputing a suspension if it feels unjustified or is it something that has passed, and shouldn't even be bothered with because there is no record of it?

If I were you, I would ask a staff member. In what I have seen around the forums you can get a suspension from a word filter or they are handed out to members that need to cool down for some reason. Most likely there is a good reason for it.

i got a 10 minute suspension one time for a troll comment
i coulda easily fought it if i got a warn, but since i had to go to the bathroom anyways, it wasn't worth it.
suspensions are just telling you not to do it again, or further actions will be taken

Suspensions are a verbal warning. Take it as a "if you keep doing what you did you will get a more severe punishment." Since the suspension is visibly over, there's no way to go back, but whatever the reason for the suspension was, if you don't keep doing it don't be too worried.

So by visibly over do you mean it doesn't stay with me on a record? I'm pretty sure mods have a track record of verbals from what I've seen in GH, can you confirm this? If they do then I should be able to dispute a verbal since a record is kept, and it should not be on my record.

The best thing to do is work on preventing future suspensions rather than worrying about whether or not past ones are kept track of.

Yes they stay on your record, and they stack.

No matter how silly the warn they will just defend it citing how the gray the rules are, and that the warning moderator is the end all, say all, do all.

suspensions/warns are just another thing for njag/meds/tts to feel good about themselves, nothing to worry about really.

yea they do add up... you get 6 suspentions for flamming/spamming and than you get a warning.
