depends on how u install the game
if u have the cd version, it'll ask for a 16 digit key
if u have the d/l'd version, it'll ask for a 26 digit key
you can register ur 16 digit key ONCE at bnet to get a 26 digit key and a download
maybe better getting it elsewhere that im not allowed to talk about, if u need a 16 digit key
ok i just baught diablo 2 and expansion from walmart in Branson Missousi and my hard copy AKA as disks came with 26 digit and not 16 digit. so no 26 digit is not just for the d/l version of the game.
