A solution is 40% acetic acid by mass. The
density of this solution is 1.049 g/mL. Calcu-
late the mass of pure acetic acid in 200 mL of
this solution at 20 C.Answer in units of g.

Energy is ? when liquid water changes to
gaseous water.
1. destroyed
2. converted to heat
3. absorbed
4. given off
5. created

First one:

200 x 1.04900 = 209.8 grams of solution

209.8 x .40 = 83.92 grams of acetic acid

Second one:

3. absorbed

Gas molecules move faster than liquid molecules so liquid water would need to absorb energy to undergo the change.

Edit:

If you need/want more of an explanation feel free to pm me.
