when i start diablo it takes about 2mins to load before visable on screen (only in fullscreen mode) in window mode its instant load anyone have an idea of what causes this?

system:
win 7 (32) ult os
asus p5b delux mb
pd 820 (2.8ghz oc 3.2ghz) processor
ati radeon hd 5550 video (HDMI) 1080p
4gig ddr2 ram 800mhz

Run Diablo 2 in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2/3.

tried that doesnt not change anything

Try Windows 98 compatibility mode + 256 colors. Worked for me.

Also disable visual themes and desktop composition.
Edit: Did you run Diablo in compatibility mode for WinXP SP2 or SP3? SP 2 should work better.

i tried both sp2 was suggested by os then i tried sp3 after it didnt work its an odd one i know its not my video card causing problem and not the os either at one point i had win xp installed on this machine and still had same issue but runs just fine on my crap 2004 xp laptop lol
