Looking to pay less than $125 for a headset that includes a mic.

Going to be using it for FPS games, so I really need to be able to pinpoint footsteps and such.

And ideas?

currently using ATH-m50s but there isn't a mic and the pinpointing isn't spot on

Best suggestion would be too shop around , Could be different prices for your area and might be different brands for it too.

Id personally go with Pskyo

/e turtle beach is the leading headset bought tho , Mist float towards it.

Turtle Beach. X11 if you want wired. X31 if you want good wireless. X41 if you want great wireless. The X41s are a littler higher than your price range but should be cheaper on eebay.

I just bought my X31s on eebay for $60, they cost $99 new.

the turtle beaches mentioned above are stereo, so it will be very hard to pinpoint the foot steps.

what you need to look for is 5.1 True dolby digital headset ( ex. tritton ax pro, which have 4 speakers in each ear cup, one for back sound, one for mid, and one for front, and one as a sub woofer.) True 5.1 DD have the best sound positing. If you dont want to spend that much for a true 5.1DD m then look for 5.1 virtual surround sound. its a stereo headset that emulates the way a True 5.1 DD headset would work. ( good example tritton ax720) pm me if you need more help

I use the SteelSeris Sibera's v2 USB - they're great. I recently had the v1's and they're not as great due to the microphone is a "clip-on" and the quality is just horrible.

I've had the v2's for about 3ish months now and they've been working fine, I've been getting a lot of positive feedback from my friends in ventrilo. The sound on them is really good too for a USB headset - the bass on them is strong and it sounds very HD. I paid under $100 for them with shipping included.
