Can I bump for as long as I want, so long as I don't do it within a 4 hour window?

Yep, there's no rule that states that you can't bump your threads :)
Just be sure, like you had mentioned, that you don't bump the topic before the 4 hours.

As tomek said, you'll be able to have a total of 60 posts per thread (trading grounds). After that, the thread will automatically be closed and you'll be able to make a new one immediately.

I thought you had to wait an hour after a thread gets closed... or is that just if it gets closed from spam or early bumps?

Correct, you only need to wait 1h if your thread was closed due to a violation, else you may repost at once.

thats 240 hours of bumping..
