tried using imageshack but it didnt work out. what are you guys using/doing

Imageshack is perfectly fine. You simply need the direct link (Guide here: How to find a direct link of any image.)
You can use tinypic as well, works always and shows you the direct link without needing to search.

You need to take a screenshot and upload your picture to one of these image hosting sites

Once uploaded, take the direct url and put it in image tags here while creating a post by clicking this

And remember, you need at least 15 posts to be able to use the BBtag.

I find tinypic to be the easiest to use, also You need 15 posts before you can post pictues, have sigs etc.
