When I try to connect to Bnet and download the new patch, this pops up

Run the .exe as an administrator.

i have been and it still pops up

Are you logged in as an administrator on the computer? Seems like you don't have permissions to make file changes in the C:\Program Files

I am using the only Account on this computer and it has Computer Admin. I dont know if i need another account to do this



i already downloaded it but when i try to load it, it pops up saying this does not need to be used as Diablo 2 isnt running

I havent played this game in a really long time. I just had a back up CD made from my Windows Xp and just downloaded it to my Vista today

If you have some time, try reinstalling it somewhere else than C:\Program Files. I reckon I had this problem as well and reinstalling it on a different location did the trick.

ok thanks. I installed it to my desktop. This is the only CD i have now as i lost the others and I am glad i made a backup CD before.

But when you say install, you mean ripping the CD right?
