Hey guys,

I bought a temporary HD from Best Buy to use until NewEgg sent my replacement for the HD I wanted. Well I just installed everything I need on my new HD and now I want to erase everything off the other one so I can get my 100 dollars back for that overpriced trash.

I tried to use DBAN to wipe my HD but it has failed every single time. I thought that maybe it could of been a bad ISO burn, however, I made another copy and DBAN still failed as well. I don't have any blank CDs left anymore.....

Any suggestions? I don't care how it gets wiped as I didn't have anything important really.

Could I get steps so I know exactly what I'm doing. I've only used DBAN to clear a HD before no other method.

Put a strong magnet on it for a few days. Will wipe everything, not sure how it would affect the hd itself though.

I'm not going out to buy a strong magnet to do something free and much quicker. Not to mention I want to return this tomorrow as I'll be really busy with my job afterwards.
