My ps3 cant play .mkv files from my Western Digital Mybook live ( NAS). All my network works with ethernet cable and is pretty fast.

How can i make my ps3 read 1080p or 720p .mkv videos ? ( without taking 9999 hours to convert them into other formats)

edit: they are x.264 and h.264 videos.

I don't think ps3 can read mkv. The only solution (might be other one) I see, is to convert files before on your nas. (Use a convert software).

you can use a media server like "ps3 media server" (freeware - just google it).
