I get a C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\wow64cpu.dll error when trying to open any programs

I have tried to register the 4 .dlls manually through command prompt as well as running the SFC /SCANNOW command

any ideas?

this would be probably because you are trying to open 32 bit programs when your OS is 64 bit?

/e Hmm this may not be the case. Im assuming you looked at this already? http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-hardware/windowssystem32wow64cpudll-error/17b99b75-b44c-42bd-9d87-bf6331cfd1b7

It would appear that many people have this problem and nothing seems to work.

When did you first experience this problem? What were you doing or had you done recently that might've prompted the problem?

You aren't having problems opening ALL .exe files, right? I'd imagine it's just certain ones?

I had blue screen of death right before this happened

I cannot run most for example : firefox, msn, aim, cannot install drivers, music etc.

Were you doing anything that might've caused BSoD? Had you recently installed something or ran a program?

Online or Offline?

Did you download the game from a website or install it off CD/s?
