So my keyboard for the usb doesnt work
I tried using it on different ports as well as trying different keyboards
when started the pc it works fine up until the login screen
My mouse contnues to work
Using a PS/2 port keyboard works
I tried running the computer in safe mode as well as other boot menus

when starting, the num lock light shows but as soon as it gets to login screen its gone and the keyboard stops

Sounds like a keyboard you should send back. How old is it?

i tried using other keyboards
the current PS/2 one im using is over 10 years old so I dont think age is the problem

Wait, the USB ports on your computer aren't working? Have you tried on other computers?

My mouse runs through a USB port and its fine
and the keyboards work on other computers

its a driver issue my man.. i can help you, pm me if interested

have you tried running the keyboard through the USB port that your mouse is plugged into?
