So I just recently built my ubergg computadora and I haven't bothered to put D2 on it until today..

Well, the problem is I can't run it in full screen. Each time I attempt to do so, it crashes and I get this error.


I'm guessing it has something to do with the resolution/2d/3d settings, hence why playing D2 in windowed mode works.

Aside from fucking with my resolution which is at 1920 x 1080 and/or changing the 2D/3D settings or 16/32 bit color, is there anything else I can do to resolve this problem? Don't want to keep changing settings back and forth, but I would love to play in full screen sometimes :(

That isn't really my problem. That guide I'm sure is referring to anyone who gets this error no matter what. Like I said, I can run the game fine in windowed mode.

Not sure what the problem could be then :(

You can try removing your bnetcache from your Diablo II folder (a new one will appear) sometimes that helps with issues, but mainly connections issues sadly.

Worth trying though :)

Run the video test of diablo II in your folder [ named: D2VidTst.exe ] and set graphics to 2d

if this doesnt work, Right click on your diablo icon. Where you normally put -w to play in windowed mode, do you have -ns typed there as well? It could be a sound/video issue. try removing the -ns and see if it works. (if its there ofc)

The game takes like an hour to load, and then when it does, the coloring is all fucked up. I don't know, now I'm guessing maybe Crossfire is messing with this. This is after all a decade+ old game.

Yes I've reinstalled. Again, this has nothing to do with the game itself I'm pretty sure. I'm running 2 x Radeon 6970 with CrossfireX.
