i never understood what was so good about being a fast typer, etc.


I took a typing test today and scored 60 words per minute with 98.33% accuracy.


I was told by the person giving the test that they had not seen a score that high in quite a while and I was just wondering what type of job I could get as a fast typer?

Computer software writer requires a minimum of 45 words per minute for the job, you'd own at that! Just looked this up

Wait isn't that pretty slow? I just typed 81 words per minute and I didn't think I was that good...

you could be one of those typers in a court house, or a translator.

60 is average
80-100+ is recommended though
Your accuracy should be higher if it's 60wpm.

You can try to be an archivist
Or data input jobs like at a hospital

that is a coilygrapher and that is completely different from typing in standard english.

My mother works for secretary of state she is pro typer lol

Many Clerical/data entry positions are available with good score's in typing

I was told that it was really high :-\ I've never taken a typing test before so I dont know if maybe it was a particular complicated test


but it was actually jumbled and purposefully used improper english and mispellings like double negatives and improper speech for accuracy.

Yeah except I think they use some kind of special keyboard with pre typed word keys or something weird.
