I just made an Ethereal Bugged Chaos armor, Then I made a Fort with it.

It STILL has Durability & It's ethereal. So I've never heard of them breaking, But Does that happen?

Yes, you will see the durability go down but there is no way to repair it.

So I should trade it for a better Non-ethereal, lower defense armor ?

Well you can use it for a merc if you'd like, but if you are dueling that would be a good idea ;)

Sigh.... ladder noob.

eBugging just increases defense and gives a random # of sockets to an item.

You're thinking of zBugging, which was when you could put a zod rune in an item, take it out, and the indestructible would stay. That hasn't been around for quite a long time.

I will lose durability on you, however if used on your merc it will not

That depends on who you plan to use it on

I very well could. Would it lose durability then? Also, Where can i get a list of Merc abilites for each difficulty?

Being called a noob is not negativity nor an insult, just stating how it is :)

Also, get Nightmare act 2 Defensive, that merc has holy freeze. durability on merc gear does not decrease.

Since I answered all your questions, I will leave this thread.

No, nothing loses durability while on a merc. So you can use eth items without them being indestructible on them.

Look under Act II: Hirelings

No, when a merc uses it, it doesn't lose durability. I suggest you get an act 2 nightmare merc, holy freeze aura.
