Hello I've been having this issue for a while but it's getting annoying now, probably happens daily, a bit less.
My computer will often just freeze, screen stays with everything on, but nothing changes (CPU Usage etc) cannot move RAM nothing moves until I restart it.. it doesn't go to blue screen

If happens more when I load programs like HWMonitor and programs which require information from my hardware like CPUZ

I've looked through my Event Viewer and I can't seem to find anything useful in there

How long do you wait until you turn it off?

My laptop usually freezed 10 minutes after I started it up, it would freeze for a couple minutes and then it gave me a message that the resource cache builder tool had crashed
You might want to wait longer, not sure

I've walked away from it and returned after like 10 minutes and it's still the same

Sounds like some sort of firewall or something.. where when a 3rd party program tries to pull hardware info the system is like "oh no you di'int" and goes into a sort of safe mode.

I've had a similar issue on my old laptop while playing WoW... It was due to overheating

Have u tryied cleaning out ur tower with compressed air to blow out all the dust inside & checking that all ur drivers are current & up-to-date?

haha, it's not overheating... my cpu is watercooled and sits at around 40C 55C max ram doesn't even feel hot and my graphics card is always at like 55C

I'll try loading the programs with all my firewall stuff closed and post results tomorrow ;)
