i have windows 7. it wont let me bootup windows ANYMORE and it wont start-up repair itself and keeps telling me there is an error or something. system restore wont work either. can anyone help me get my stuff back?

can you boot your computer in safemode?
1. Restart your computer
2. As your computer restarts, press F8 before Windows screen launches
3. Use the arrows keys and select Safemode



is that the blue screen of death or just an error message?
it seems to be related to windows automatic updates

Try this

1) Restart your computer
2) Press F8 before the Windows logo appears
3) Select Repair your computer and press Enter
4) Select Repair Startup Problems and press Enter
5) Once the process is completed, restart you computer
6) On Command Prompt Elevated Mode (Run as Administrator) type chkdsk to see if the problem has been fixed.

If it doesn't work you need to find a way to get your harddrive in another computer and copy your files over from it.
