So, with D3 coming around the corner hopefully, I've decided to restart D2 to make some forum gold and have some fun (good idea or bad? Still not sure...). The one problem is that I got banned from Battlenet a couple of years ago for using maphack.

My question is this: In order to play again, do I just need to buy LoD, just buy Classic, or buy both of them? Which keys were banned?

I belive you only need to buy LOD.

Im sure if its your first ban, they unban the keys after a few months.

Thanks! I'd just buy one and then the other, but the store isn't terribly close and I have gift cards so it's cheaper than buying online o.o

I heard that as well. It is my first ban and it has been a couple of years since I've played. I reinstalled and checked but it said the key wasn't useable
