how is it in florida that you can get arrested and charged seldomly with resisting arrest?


dont the police have to have another charge on you to arrest you? so how is it you can only be charged with resisting an arrest that doesnt occur?

Perhaps the resisting was a larger crime than what was in the first place.

but shouldnt they still have to be charged with another crime?

Not if it was a simple ticket, I believe.

You cannot be arrested solely for resisting arrest. There has to be grounds for arrest in the first place. There is something you're missing in the story.

my county has all kinds of people charged solemnly with just resisting arrest and no other charges

could have ran from the cops while in possesion of something illegal, tossed it and it was never recovered.

Its still fleeing the police which is a charge
