I would recommend just a strong verbal command of 'NO' or even possibly a swat on the head (not hard).
Putting it in a seperate room most likely isn't teaching it anything.

Like it's been said, a strong verbal command of NO and take your index finger and tap them on the nose....knew somebody who trained their dog like this.

another is with treats....teach them the easy command, if they go for the treat to fast/hard, tell them easy and don't give it to them until they take it easy.

or you can do my favorit and use a shock collar. They don't see you doing anything when they get zapped and just hear you say no. So when you say no they will expect the zap and settle down.

Well the thing is that by the time you take him to another room, he might not remember what for, or understand that the biting was the reason.

this, dogs have an attention span of about 10-20 seconds. Puppies even less.

might not remember? Dogs remember everything lol

I was gun training my pointers with a bird wing on a fishing line and when they would point i'd kick up the wing and fire a shot with the pistol afterwards giving them a treat and praising them. Stopped that for awhile and like 3 weeks later i went to give them a treat for the hell of it and they took off running to hide. lmao.

Tapping is wrong imo
I just pull my hand back and say no or i just pet him and then he starts licking me

It may be wrong to you and EVERYONE will argue the fact about different training methods as some things some are okay and others say they aren't...

Goldfish don't have an attention span lol..

I'm not saying dogs/puppies don't remember things but their mind starts to wander to different things very fast.

Smacking/tapping/hitting your dog does get a clear message across and your dog will get the message, but there are so many other effective ways to train your dog.

fully trained my pup in 4 months only using positive reinforcement and the word NO
