When you can use a 400*150 image with the same background jsp has, with more lines, even though it weighs more to create an image...?
Furthermore you can even add three lines under your image lol, kinda ridiculous.

It weeds out the people who are too stupid to write things concisely.

The rules are rules. Nuff said. If you don't like it, don't have a sig ^_^

I never said I didn't like them, nor did I say I was willing to have a sig.
I just wanted to know whether I'm an idiot or the rules are senseless
Verdict : this rule's senseless.

The rule is designed so that everyones given the same amout of space to use & there sig doesn't take up to much site bandwith & to much space per post

Without that rule ppl could put full poems, stories, trades in the sig & take up an entire page with just 1 post

What you don't get is that rules allow you to put like 15 lines including an image enhancing the weigh of the whole sig, and only 6 without including a picture.

When I was a Members++ I made a 400x150 signature with as much writing as I could possibly fit into it. I typed out a paragraph about how it was possible to legally extend the character length of your signature, to do so without breaking any rules. The higher-ups told me to take it down, saying that it "sent the wrong message". So I guess the "rules are rules" argument doesn't really apply, since there are always stipulations.

You'll find that even though the rules are listed out how they are, people who try to use loopholes are weeded out.
