Is it legal to pm random people I see online that play my realm offering my services? Trying to get the word out about services I offer so I've been pming random people:P. I keep track of who I pm to make sure I don't pm the same person twice. pmed about 20people and thought I would make a thread to see if this was legal. Looked through the rules quite a few times and never seen anything that i can remember saying I can't do this lol.

As long as the services are legal I think this is alright. Another way to advertise would be to set up a hotlink in your signature to the thread/page for your services.

Really isn't my goal to get people to block list me. So I have been paying special attention to who I pm to make sure not to spam them with multiple messages.

yeah i was about to say, if they do get ticked then they could block you, but you could always add (at the end of your pm) "If you are not interested you can let me know i wont contact again." Something along those lines

Personally I'd just put a hyperlink in your sig. I'd get annoyed from some random person PMing me about services I didn't ask/post for. Just my 2 cents.

I'd agree with this, but in terms of the legality of PMing the people, I think you're alright.

I'm agree with Kevorkian, but you should use the new feature service and make a topic for that (obviously, only if the services are legal).

However, i advise you to don't offer services by pm because it's harder to proof a scam in this way.

The best way to advertise your services is to add a link beneath your signature. Good luck.

I already have a service thread up, but most service threads get over looked pretty easily within the time they stay on the first page :P. Will probably add a link to put in my sig. Depending on how well it works I'll consider whether or not to keep pming random people based on the people I have pming me for work:).
