how do i go about getting a personal profile/profile pic? any useful info would be appreciated and or a link would be nice, thank you all.

Upload the image u want to use to an Image hosting Site

Photobucket.com
Imageshack.com

Go to Settings Change Personal Photo

Add the Direct Link URL there

thanks both of you, i have it figured it out mainly, just with the profile background, how can i get a bigger picture? Using tinypic.com and choosing different sizes doesnt matter. any ideas?

Tinypic.com is known for restricting upload sizes (its done it to me). So to avoid that problem I use http://imageshack.us/

U can post in the "Graphic Request forum" to have someone resize ur picture for u

kinda sucks i gotta sign up just to get the direct link... but i guess i have too, after chooseing different image size, once its uploaded it still shows pic the same size on imageshack. epic fail for me lol

Simply after uploading the picture, right-click it and click 'properties' then copy/paste the URL address you see there. That'll be the 'direct link'
