I'm looking for a good mouse that will last a good amount of time, and have good performance.

I have narrowed it down to these two.

I would like to see other peoples opinions on these two.

The Razer mouse looks more comfortable.
I personally don't have the need for ten buttons, but that one is cheaper, just seems really uncomfortable.

The other one has way more reviews and has 5 star, the other has less reviews and 4 star. On newegg, I tend to lean toward reviews. Read what they say/complain about and see if it applies to you.

It seems like all of the people the gave it a low star rating only did so because they're used to different mice.

But the reviews will always be your best bet, other than testing them both.

It's kind of hit or miss on the first one you receive, my first Lycosa was terrible, but after I sent it back they gave me a fantastic one, I've had it for probably three years now and there have been no issues.
I also bought the DeathAdder, the only issue was that I wasn't used to it, now I love it.

And the mouse pad, well it's kind of hard to screw that up. ^_^
But, of course, this is coming from a Razer fan boy.

I have had the older version of that Razer mouse with 4000 DPI, and it has been great!
